The matter being considered in closed session pertains to a confidential presentation from the Director, Human Resources and John Mascarin, Partner, and Meghan Cowan, Partner, Aird & Berlis LLP, regarding Harassment Investigation Findings and Recommendations, HUR 070 – Respect in the Workplace Policy.

That Council hereby proclaims their support for the administrative restrictions, as contained in Recommendation 1 of the Confidential PowerPoint presentation document presented by the Director, Human Resources and Aird & Berlis LLP, at the June 8th Special Council Meeting, that have been previously implemented under the direction of the City’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO); That Recommendations 2 and 3 as contained in the Confidential PowerPoint presentation document be approved and endorsed; That the Clerk be directed to append the Confidential PowerPoint presentation and enter the exact recommendations approved by Council into the confidential meeting minutes; and, That the Mayor be authorized to issue a public statement and that the statement may include the adopted recommendations.
